My husband and I spent the weekend with my parents setting up a town house retreat for them. It lent itself to great conversation. When I asked my folks about some quotes from my grandparents this one popped out immediately from both of their mouths.

This piece of advice is just as timely now as it was then.

  12. I love the quotes! I wish I had gotten more stories and quotes from my grandparents before they passed away. I will have to ask my parents to see if they remember an interesting quotes from them!

  13. Good! I can comment :) It would not let me yesterday. This is great advice... especially for my generation. You and I talked about this once... we take things for granted and expect them to come easily/quickly.

  14. No more true words have been spoken. I think this new generation really needs to learn that quote. We teach it to our kids but I swear their friends think we are freaks to make our kids earn their 'extras'. This quite reminds me so much of my grandfather. Love it.
