Being gracious when someone is giving a compliment hasn’t always been my strong suit.A dear friend of mine gave me this advice years ago from her mother and I find magic in it’s simplicity.
Saying please and thank you are so important. When I was a little girl my grandmother forced me to send thank you cards, and I hated it. As an adult, I am so pleased she taught me those good manners. *kisses* HH
i LOVE this! I'm a bit sassy, but it's fun to say it to people who are coming up with excuses for the compliment you just gave them. "you know," I say, "all you have to do is say thank you!"

Again, more sage advice. Sometimes it's hard to feel humble and accept compliments. Thank you is always a good response.
ReplyDeleteI have issues with compliments as well! I can't take them but I do certainly love to give them.
ReplyDeleteHaving a food blog is a good way to overcome accepting compliments:) Everyone is always so kind!
