Does anyone else feel like we are in short supply of wisdom these days? We are certainly not lacking information, with a million voices tweeting and blogging and being televised into our homes, it's hard to know which message to listen to. I often wish I could just ask my grandma for a bit of her down-to-earth advice. Grandmas have time on their side. They have experience. Sometimes they even have a bit of flare.
The Napkin Lady was my grandmother's, and every April (in honor of Grandma Smith's birthday) she is on display. Isn't she lovely? Starting this April, I will be posting "A Note from The Napkin Lady" in an effort to remember the wisdom from the time of my grandmothers...and of course share it with you.
So true. I love your napkin lady. I've never seen one like her before. What a treasure to have something from your grandmother that you use and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear what she'll say next!
ReplyDeleteI love the Napkin Lady and her pearl of wisdom:) Till next time...:)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the meaning behind "Table Runner"! :)

ReplyDeleteI never knew what you avatar actually was. I love the Napkin Lady and her Pearls of Wisdom ;)
ReplyDeletewhat a great feature on your blog
ReplyDeleteI think this is a wonderful idea and I will be back to learn more wisdom. I am lucky enough to still have both of my grandmothers and have learned so much from both of them and learned much from my grandfathers as well. The napkin lady is gorgeous and what a perfect heirloom to treasure.
ReplyDeleteAh, I like it. Cant wait to hear more wisdom from the napkin lady.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a fabulous easter weekend.

I'm in agreement with you. There's lots of people talking...but they're mostly giving useless information. Great napkin lady!
ReplyDeleteI know I've told you this before but I truly adore the Napkin Holder that was your Grama's. It's so unique and such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that most people just talk and do little and I know I'm probably as guilty as the next person. But I do try to check off at least 3 things on my ToDo list every day!
Ah, Michelle- Thanks a bunch. I wish I knew where to get my hands on a few more Napkin Ladies and I'd send you one. I watch your list of things to make in the kitchen get check marks as you complete them, so I know you do exactly as you say.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all my dear friends for stopping by my blog this week. It's warmed my heart :)
I remember when you put this up last year and I loved it SO much. It's so darling and so special. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteBlessing,
