Who would have thought eating a doughnut could be a culinary experience? I've been a fan of
BEYOND GLAZE since they opened at their first location last year. Once you've tried a doughnut from their shop, no one else holds a candle to their fresh toppings not to mention the beautiful presentation. The owners of Beyond Glaze and her daughters have pulled together their collective life experience to create some of the most exquisite pastries in the Salt Lake Valley. Their chocolate crossants are nothing short of fabulous. You can pick up a spot of lunch, with a ham and cheese crossant or stick with brunch foods with tasty scones, organge rolls and of course their main event these almost indescribeably beautiful and delicious doughnuts. You can find them at their new store just off of I-15 on
155 West 12300 South in Draper. Each time I've stopped by there are men enjoying a coffee break, families picking up a dozen for a party as well as ladies enjoying a get-a-way. If you haven't tried it yourself, put it on your list-- but plan on eating a treat on the spot and taking some home. The eye candy factor alone is enough to make you feel like you've been to San Francisco or New York.
I almost forgot to mention that you can order these tasty beauties by the dozen over the internet and have them delivered. If you were looking for a party in a box, look no further.
Oh my, those look amazing! I'll have to go some time when I'm on my way to Provo.
ReplyDeleteWow. I think I'll be stopping by there when I get the chance. Thanks for giving us the heads up!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the way they look, they taste fabulous as well! Let me know what you think when you try them. My favorite is the Key Lime Crumble, and John loves the Carmel Apple. However, I haven't had one that I don't love!
ReplyDeletewhy oh why would you put up these pictures when my diet has been going so well?!
ReplyDeletemy favorite is the peach cobbler--aren't they baked, not fried? Even another reason to eat one TODAY!!
ReplyDeleteWell . . . actually, they are baked and fried. After having a tour of their kitchen I saw the entire process. But the toppings are all made from fresh ingredients, like the strawberry glaze is made from fresh strawberries! Every once in a while you have to splurge- and trust me, this is a place you won't be sorry you did.
ReplyDeleteCristie thank you for coming by.... I just love these donuts, they're a work of art, Truly!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYum! A lovely review from an even lovelier photographer/reporter!
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind. But the treats are very yummy!
